STEM Ready Career Specialist Joins CareerSource Capital Region Team

Grant Team Expands to Serve Individuals Interested in STEM Industries

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – CareerSource Capital Region is pleased to announce the hire of Ashley Knight as a STEM Ready Career Specialist.

Prior to joining CareerSource Capital Region, Knight relocated to Tallahassee from Windsor, Colorado where she worked for Job Corps as a Career Transition Specialist. In her role, she worked with underserved communities on grant projects for vocational training and assisted a diverse population with their employment needs.


“Ashley’s passion, wealth of experience, and knowledge in the industry has already made her a key addition to the STEM Ready Grant Team,” said CareerSource Capital Region Senior Director Kara Palmer Smith. “We are extremely excited to find someone of Ashley’s caliber to fulfill this role. I am confident that Ashley will play a vital part in providing and implementing quality solutions for our career seekers.”


As a STEM Ready Career Specialist, Knight will be responsible for ensuring that career seekers who are eligible for the grant have the resources, skills, training and work experience they need to return to the workforce.

“I am looking forward to working in a new city, getting to know the CareerSource Capital Region team and learning a new market with a new demographic,” said Knight. “I am dedicated to serving the community and improving lives through employability.”
