Public Review and Comment Requested

CareerSource Capital Region is soliciting public review and comment regarding its Request for New Local Workforce Development Area Designation, found here.

Local Workforce Development Areas (LWDAs) that are consolidating or realigning counties due to Florida’s Transformation Plan are required to submit a request to be designated as a new LWDA. CareerSource Capital Region (CSCR) is realigning counties and is adding Jefferson County, in addition to Gadsden, Leon and Wakulla counties, to the proposed LWDA. 

A period for public review and comment allowing at least 10 days' notice is required. All public comments are welcomed 12:30 P.M. April 9, 2024, through 12:30 P.M. April 19, 2024. Please direct public comments and feedback via:

  • Email to tandria.edwards@careersourcecapitalregion.com with the subject line, “New Local Workforce Development Area Designation Request Feedback” or
  • US Mail to CareerSource Capital Region Administrative Office, 2910 Kerry Forest Parkway, D4-273, Tallahassee, FL 32309.

Under the provisions of Section 120.57(3)(b), Florida Statutes, failure to file protest within the time prescribed in Section 120.57(3), Florida Statutes, shall constitute a waiver of proceedings under Chapter 120, Florida Statues.
