CareerSource Capital Region Publishes 2022-2023 Annual Report

Positively impacting businesses and individuals in the capital area

 

Tallahassee, Fla. – Please be informed that the CareerSource Capital Region Annual Report for the July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2023, fiscal year has been published and is available on the company website.

 

“We are happy to report that the state of our local economy is strong, and the demand for talent is the strongest we’ve ever witnessed, said CareerSource Capital Region’s CEO Jim McShane. Our board and staff continue to positively impact both businesses and career seekers in the capital region through a wide variety of solutions.

 

Last fiscal year, CareerSource Capital Region assisted 6,173 career seekers with paid internships, training scholarships, career counseling, and job search assistance, and 1,281 employers with job postings, recruitment events, and professional development in Gadsden, Leon, and Wakulla counties. 

 

Highlights of the year included a partnership with Leon County and Gadsden County summer youth programs; the Talent Innovation Summit (a signature business conference); 6 Recruitment Events; 7 Hiring Fairs; 6 industry sector roundtable meetings for business, education, economic development and industry associations; and 2 Prep for Vets Lunch & Learn events.

 

CareerSource Capital Region assists all individuals in Gadsden, Leon and Wakulla counties with employment and training solutions, with particular aid provided to individuals with barriers to employment including those in the most vulnerable populations such as individuals who are long-term unemployed or underemployed, low-income, disabled, ex-offenders, homeless, dislocated workers, high school dropouts, basic skills deficient, in and out-of-school youth/young adults and veterans.
