Regional Unemployment Rate Announced for JUNE 2022

CareerSource Capital Region to host Recruitment event in Wakulla County

for St. Marks Powder  

 

TALLAHASSEE, FL – According to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, the regional unemployment rate for Gadsden, Leon, and Wakulla counties was 3.1 percent for June 2022.The region’s June 2022 unemployment rate was 1.7 percent lower than the region’s year ago rate of 4.8 percent and was 0.2 percentage lower to the state’s rate of 2.9 percent. Wakulla County’s unemployment rate is the lowest in the Capital Region at 2.5 percent. Leon County followed at 3.1 percent. Gadsden County was at 3.6 percent. There were a total of 6,012 unemployed residents in the region.
 

The top six advertised occupations in the Capital Region in June 2022 were as follows:
 

  • Registered Nurses
  • Software Developers, Applications
  • Managers, All Other
  • Sales Representatives, Wholesale and Manufacturing, Except Technical and Scientific Products
  • Retail Salespersons
  • First-Line Supervisors of Retail Sales Workers
