We all know that work experience is important for young people as they are trying to learn what career suits them best and what will offer them opportunities to grow and advance,” said Jecheta Blackshear, Dynamic Futures Specialist at CareerSource Capital Region.  “We all have to start somewhere, and the earlier individuals can gain experience in the working world, the better they will be able to determine what they like and don’t like about certain jobs. This enriched experience for young adults in the capital area will be impactful for both the participants and businesses they are working at this summer!”

The 6 to 12 week program provides young adults, ages 16-24 years old, work experience during the summer with businesses throughout Gadsden, Leon and Wakulla counties.  Participants can work up to 40 hours/week. The exact times will be negotiated with supervisors.
