Teens & Young Adults Invited to the “LEAP” into a New Career Hiring Fair

Hosted by CareerSource Capital Region on Oct. 20th, 2022

Connect with local employers looking to fill positions that teach new skills and open career paths

           

TALLAHASSEE, FL– CareerSource Capital Region invites local youth (ages 16 – 24) who are not enrolled in high school or college and have low household income to connect with employers eager to meet individuals who are new to the workforce at the upcoming hiring fair!  

 

Young adults who find work are given the opportunity to get a head start gaining the skills they need for better career outcomes. CareerSource Capital Region offers paid internships with employers who are eager to help launch teens and young adults into a career they’ll love.

 

LEAP into a new career Hiring Fair

Thursday, October 20th, 2022

12:00 Noon to 4:00 pm

Priority will be given to individuals arriving between 12:00 Noon – 1:00PM.  Business attire required. See CareerSource Capital Region staff to obtain appropriate clothing, if needed.

“We’re excited to give our local youth the opportunity to have an income and build their career network,” said Anthony Hubert, Job Developer at CareerSource Capital Region. “Employers at this event will offer quality paid internships to expose people in this age group to professional work standards and skills needed to succeed in adulthood, all while being paid $11 to $17 per hour. This is an excellent chance for employers to give back and young adults to gain a productive lifestyle.”
