CareerSource Capital Region Recognizes Local Business for Commitment to Hiring Veterans
Accessibility Solutions Recognized as 2021 Veteran Friendly Employer
TALLAHASSEE, FL – In honor of Veterans month, Accessibility Solutions, a local business, was recognized for its commitment to hiring veterans by CareerSource Capital Region.
Accessibility Solutions was awarded the 2021 CareerSource Capital Region Veteran Friendly Employer Program Recognition on Friday, November 12, 2021, by Jim McShane, CEO, and Trish Yahn, Sr. Director. Accepting the award was John Pettit, Business Owner and Reta Hodges, Office Manager, of Accessibility Solutions.
Accessibility Solutions is a veteran owned business that opened its doors in 1997. Pettit is a Marine Corps veteran and licensed remodeling contractor who specializes in home modifications and providing equipment for disabled children and adults. He and his team work closely with the VA, Brain & Spinal Cord Injury Program and other state agencies to provide solutions for individuals with disabilities using universal design principals to improve individuals’ lives.
Approximately 65% of the workforce at Accessibility Solutions are military veterans.
