CAREERSOURCE CAPITAL REGION HONORS LOCAL EMPLOYERS WHO ARE VET FRIENDLY

Five local employers were recognized for their veteran friendly hiring practices

TALLAHASSEE– Yesterday, CareerSource Capital Region, (CSCR) drew out more than 150 job seekers to its annual hiring fair for veterans at the Florida National Guard Armory and recognized five special employers who have made a continuous commitment to hire local veterans. This event is a part of CSCR’ s Hire A Vet Month activities. The employers recognized are also the first set to participate in CSCR’s Preferred Veteran Employer Program. The program aims to connect veteran friendly employers to qualified veterans to fill open positions. The companies that participate have pledged to put warriors to work.

Companies recognized included:

Aramark is dedicated to hiring members of the military. Of the more than 900 individuals that Aramark employs locally, it aims to make sure at least 7% are veterans.
