CAREERSOURCE CAPITAL REGION CELEBRATES CAREER CENTER RIBBON CUTTING AND OPEN HOUSE
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – CareerSource Capital Region showcased its newest career center today during a Ribbon Cutting and Open House celebration.
CareerSource Capital Region moved to this location from its previous location on South Monroe Street in June of this year and in August launched a new process to support employers and career seekers in our community. The center has been designed from the ground up to support its new 21st century, industry sector based process that will enable CareerSource Capital Region to improve its ability to connect employers with the talent they need and provide career seekers with a better experience.
“We are extremely proud to present our new Career Center, which has been designed to help us provide better solutions to local employers and career seekers,” said CareerSource Capital Region CEO Jim McShane. “This remarkable center is a professional environment where all who seek assistance will be able to connect with a wide range of solutions based on their needs.”
Special guests at the Open House & Ribbon Cutting included Congresswoman Gwen Graham, Mayor Andrew Gillum, Representative Alan Williams, Leon County Commissioner and Chief Local Elected Official Nick Maddox, CareerSource Florida COO & CFO Scott Fennell, Florida Department of Economic Opportunity Executive Director Cissy Proctor, and Big Bend Minority Chamber of Commerce Interim President Gina Kinchlow.
"It was an honor to speak at today’s ribbon cutting. This new facility will help grow our state’s economy and create new jobs in North Florida," Rep. Graham said. “In Congress, I’ve been an advocate for CareerSource and job creation in North Florida. I was proud to help CareerSource and the Department of Defense to find jobs for veterans, and to support the bipartisan Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, which helps fund CareerSource."
