15 Production Operator Positions Available in Wakulla County

CareerSource Capital Region Assists Local Manufacturer to Fill Positions

 

TALLAHASSEE, FL –CareerSource Capital Region is currently recruiting to fill immediate openings for Production Ops. Blender positions in Wakulla County for a preferred employer, St. Marks Powder. These entry-level positions begin at $15.00 per hour, and employees have the ability to quickly receive pay increases leading to $18.91 per hour within one year of employment.  In addition, St. Marks Powder offers an excellent benefits package and short work weeks, which affords employees greater opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors, sports or other hobbies.

 

Positions require individuals to load, unload, and handle material in support of production processes along with operation of simple industrial equipment. Operators will drive vehicles to transfer material between production and storage areas. Operators are required to lift 55 pounds regularly and use dollies to move loads weighing up to 220 pounds. The work is performed in a non-climate-controlled environment and employees work twelve-hour rotating shifts. Candidates should have good math and reading skills. Additionally, candidates are subject to a skills assessment in these areas.  

Pre-employment criminal background, drug, motor vehicle, reference and BATFE screenings will be conducted for all finalists for these positions.

Information sessions about St. Marks Powder and the available jobs are scheduled for Wednesday, January 26th between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at the Wakulla CareerSource Capital Region Career Center.  Career seekers must register for a timeslot to attend.   Attendees will be presented with an overview of the position and associated duties, assessments and the application process.
