CareerSource Capital Region Calls for Nominations to Salute Employers Who Hire Veterans in the Capital Area

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – CareerSource Capital Region is pleased to announce a call for nominations of businesses who are committed to putting heroes to work.  Businesses may nominate others or self-nominate their own business to be recognized as a 2021 Veteran Friendly Employer in the capital area.

CareerSource Capital Region’s Veteran Friendly Employer Program is designed to recognize employers who are dedicated to providing quality employment opportunities for military veterans and their families.

Nominations are open through October 15, 2021.

Selected employers will be announced in November.  In addition, Veteran Friendly Employers are presented with an insignia that is placed at their business location, as well as receive digital and traditional media publicity for their unwavering commitment to veterans.

“We are pleased to recognize local businesses such as our 2020 honorees FL Department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles and Sodexo who are dedicated to considering veterans for employment and promotional opportunities,” said CareerSource Capital Region Sr. Director, Trish Yahn.  “Veterans bring a wealth of knowledge, skills and abilities to civilian workplaces, and we encourage local employers to self-nominate for this award.”
