 Assistance Available for Companies in Distress

at CareerSource Capital Region

Rapid Response Grant provides layoff prevention services to Businesses

in Gadsden, Leon & Wakulla Counties

 

Tallahassee, Fla. – Employers facing reductions in staff work hours or those contemplating closures or mass layoffs can receive no-cost, assistance through CareerSource Capital Region's Rapid Response grant.  Early intervention is key. 

 

Employers, large and small, in Gadsden, Leon and Wakulla counties can take advantage of precautionary measures to help distressed employers avoid layoffs and closures such as:

 

  • short-term compensation assistance,
  • on-the-job and incumbent worker training
  • Information on state and federal funding available

 

In addition, CareerSource Capital Region can assist businesses with managing closures and assist affected workers with quickly finding other jobs and training opportunities.

 

“We encourage local businesses to be proactive and develop a strategy to reduce possibility and negative impacts of work slowdowns and layoffs,” said Reenee Williams, Rapid Response Coordinator at CareerSource Capital Region. “Early intervention is key. These solutions are confidential and at no-cost to both employers and employees. Take away the fear of the unknown and gain access to customized, user-friendly business resources and information for maintaining financial stability for your business while also helping transition affected workers into re-employment if necessary.”
