CareerSource Capital Region Publishes 2021-2022 Annual Report

Positively impacting businesses and individuals in the capital area

 

Tallahassee, Fla. – Please be informed that the CareerSource Capital Region Annual Report for the July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2022, financial year has been published and is available on the company website - www.careersourcecapitalregion.com

 

“We are happy to report that the state of our local economy is strong, and the demand for talent is the strongest we’ve ever witnessed,” said CareerSource Capital Region’s CEO Jim McShane. “Our board and staff continue to positively impact both businesses and career seekers in the capital region through a wide variety of solutions.”

 

Last fiscal year, CareerSource Capital Region assisted 6,837 career seekers with paid internships, training scholarships, career counseling, and job search assistance, and 1,028 employers with job postings, recruitment events, and professional development in Gadsden, Leon, and Wakulla counties. 

 

Highlights of the year included a partnership with Leon County’s summer youth program; the Talent Innovation Summit (a signature business conference); 19 Recruitment Events; LEAD (Leaders Evolve and Develop) leadership development training; 5 industry sector roundtable meetings for business, education, economic development and industry associations; 2 Prep for Vets Lunch & Learn events; and the Paychecks for Patriots Hiring Fair.

 

CareerSource Capital Region assists individuals with barriers to employment including those in the most vulnerable populations such as individuals who are long-term unemployed or underemployed, low-income, disabled, ex-offenders, homeless, dislocated workers, high school dropouts, basic skills deficient, out-of-school youth/young adults and veterans.
