Micah Glover applied and was accepted in the WakullaCARES Internship program administered by the Wakulla Center and was assigned to AirCon of Wakulla. He hadn’t ever worked in the HVAC industry before but was willing to learn a new skill that would hopefully lead to a more sustainable career than what he had worked in the past. Through the internship, he gained knowledge about the industry and was intrigued by the technical requirements and variety of projects that the business encompassed. Because of the success of the internship, AirCON signed up to be a Work Experience location for CareerSource Capital Region. In the meantime, Micah continued to take advantage of the services offered by the Wakulla Center and became enrolled in the WIOA program. When Micah was approved for work experience, AirCON eagerly asked for him to be assigned back to them. This allowed Micah to further enhance and expand upon the skills he had acquired and once the WIOA program ended Micah was offered a full-time position with them!
