UNEMPLOYMENT RATE ANNOUNCED FOR JUNE 2017

 

CareerSource Capital Region Announces Hiring Fair in Gadsden County

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – According to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, the regional unemployment rate for Gadsden, Leon, and Wakulla counties was 4.3% for June 2017.

The region’s rate was 0.9% lower than the region’s rate for June 2016 and 0.6% higher than the region’s rate for May 2017. Wakulla County’s unemployment rate remained the lowest in the Capital Region with 3.7%. Leon County followed at 4.2%. Gadsden County was at 5.3%. 
 

The top advertised occupations in the Capital Region in June 2017 were as follows:

  • Registered Nurses (373 jobs)
  • Computer Systems Analysts (209 jobs)
  • Management Analysts (185 jobs)

The top direct employers in the Capital Region in June 2017 were as follows:

  • Accenture (629 jobs)
  • Tallahassee Memorial (287 jobs)
  • Florida State University (208 jobs)
