REGIONAL UNEMPLOYMENT RATE UNCHANGED FOR OCTOBER 2017

CareerSource Capital Region’s Executive Center Offers Solutions for Professional Career Seekers

TALLAHASSEE, FL – According to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, the regional unemployment rate for Gadsden, Leon, and Wakulla counties remained unchanged at 3.3 percent for October 2017.

 

The region’s rate was 1.4 percent lower than the region’s rate for October 2017 and 0.3 percent lower than the state’s rate for October 2017. Wakulla County’s unemployment rate remained the lowest in the Capital Region at 2.9 percent. Leon County followed at 3.2 percent. Gadsden County was at 4.3 percent.
 

The top advertised occupations in the Capital Region in October 2017 were as follows:
 

  • Registered Nurses (325 jobs)
  • Computer Systems Analysts (207 jobs)
  • Management Analysts (168 jobs)
