Ready to Work is a credential awarded by the State of Florida to anyone who has successfully passed designated assessments.

Overview

Ready to Work is a credential awarded by the State of Florida to anyone who has successfully passed designated assessments. A person who has earned a Ready to Work Credential will be considered equipped with the skills needed to enter the workforce.

There are three levels that can be earned through Florida’s Ready to Work assessment – Bronze, Silver and Gold.

Who is eligible to earn a Ready to Work Credential?

Any Florida student/career seeker or employer is eligible to participate in the program.

What are the steps to earn the Ready to Work Credential?

  • Sign up by completing a registration form in the Resource Room or with a Career Specialist at any CareerSource Capital Region Office
  • Receive an appointment from a CareerSource Capital Region staff member
  • Complete the proctored Ready to Work Assessments
  • Receive a Ready to Work Credential, signed by the Governor, once mastery levels have been achieved

Is there a cost to participate?

No. There is no cost for students, career seekers or employers to participate in the program.
